University Hospitals of Morcombe Bay – Furness Breast Screening Facility
This project comprised the detailed design and total M&E Refurbishment of the department to provide state of the art breast screening facilities and included air conditioning, ventilation, heating, water services and drainage.
Full electrical services installations including MEIGaN earthing requirements for permanent electrical installation of medical devices and associated equipment in diagnostic imaging (including dental X-ray units) and radiotherapy rooms/suites. Essential and non-essential services to the various items of dedicated equipment.
A new fire alarm installation, nurse call, power, lighting and emergency lighting were also installed.
This work was carried out during normal working hours and required noise and dust control as well as the usual infection control measures to be complied with by all site personnel.
